PhD students
We welcome prospective PhD students interested in child-computer interaction, child-centered AI, computational literacy, family joint media engagement, or design research. Students join the PhD in Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Funding routes include the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) and PolyU Presidential PhD Fellowship Scheme (PPPFS). These fellowships are highly competitive. Please contact Junnan Yu to discuss your research interests and potential fit.
Postdoctoral researchers
We welcome enquiries from researchers interested in joining through the RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. Please contact Junnan Yu to discuss possible research directions and proposals.
Master’s and undergraduate students
PolyU students interested in our research areas are welcome to get in touch. You can contribute to ongoing projects through activities such as data collection and prototype development, and explore opportunities to initiate your own research. We value a serious and sustained commitment. Hourly research-assistant compensation depends on available funding and cannot always be offered.
Visiting PhD students
PhD students at other institutions can explore a research visit with our group, for example for four to six months, through the PolyU Research Student Attachment Programme. Programme funding and accommodation are subject to the university’s current arrangements. Our group cannot offer additional financial support. Visitors can arrange their own housing or apply for university student accommodation.
